A menu for every event

From dinner parties, weddings, wakes and birthday parties to corporate events community events, festivals and conferences, Square Food Foundation events are uniquely fun, sometimes with a little theatre of ‘live cooking’ and always appropriate to the particular occasion.

The food is prepared by students in the cookery school and often served by them. And Square Food staff and volunteers will always make sure you and your guests are happy and well looked after.

Square Food has trading and food education links with many local & organic retailers, growers and farmers and it always sources its ingredients with care and integrity.

What does seasonal really mean?

The month of June is not the same as the month of July and ‘local’ can mean many things too. Square Food menus reflect the best produce of any given month and show what the land, both cultivated and wild and the sea and the people who look after them are really up to. 

Recent events have featured: The cooking traditions of Cornwall, Wales, Southern France, Northern Italy, Andalucia, Indian, Mexico and Southern India…

Dishes come in all shapes and sizes: Canapés, tapas, sandwiches, buffet suppers & lunches, table service, a wood-burning stove, a BBQ, vegan, vegetarian, children’s parties (in which the children may be engaged in some fun cooking activities)…

More than food. 

Every Square Food Foundation event aims to deliver brilliant food and give you a great and memorable experience. Each event is also backed up by serious food education principles. This is why we involve our students - of all ages and all walks of life event – in the planning and delivery of our events. And it’s why we focus not just on the idea of seasonal and sustainable but the realities and the challenges of them too
