Understanding how to make best use of time and resources, practical health and safety and logistics of planning and delivery all pose difficulties for teachers. Cooking in the Classroom is an innovative professional development workshop that offers a committed approach to embedding healthy & delicious cookery lessons into your school curriculum.
The workshop can be delivered over a full inset day or two x 2.5hr twilight sessions and will give your teachers the tools to delivery cookery workshops in school.

Square Food delivers the BTEC Levels 1 and 2 in Home Cooking Skills in collaboration with the Park Centre. Every week, we teach the basic cooking techniques and recipes that make up a toolkit for independent living. This skills-focussed course is delivered in our professional teaching kitchen which is a supportive and positive space. We encourage confident, and proud home cooks.
In collaboration with the Milestones Trust and Soil Association, Square Food has developed a unique cooking course for care home cooks. This definitive course incorporates the principles of cooking from scratch, the practicalities of working in a care home setting and the specific needs of elderly residents.
This professional development programme is designed for people already cooking in a care home or similar setting, to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence in the kitchen. For more information, get in touch.
