Cooking connections

A fun and friendly cooking course for adults who face barriers to cooking independently

Who's it for?

This course is designed to provide adults with learning disabilities or mental health issues with the tools they need to move towards independent cooking. The small group provides a safe and supportive space to learn about food, cook delicious recipes from scratch and build confidence while connecting with others.

Is this right for me?

This course is ideal if you want to:

  • Learn new recipes every week

  • Meet and eat with people in a fun, friendly environment

  • Improve your cooking skills and confidence

  • Cook food to share with family and friends


What you’ll learn:

  • How to cook healthier (and delicious) versions of your favourite dishes

  • How to batch cook

  • How to use leftovers

  • How to use kitchen equipment safely

  • How to cook meat safely


Certification

All learners are presented with a Square Food Foundation certificate at the end of this course.

There is space on this course for learners who need assistance to have an extra adult or support worker.
